Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser, Nominated by Nevada Child Seekers

Alise “Lee” Haney has been involved with Nevada Child Seekers for more than five years as Board President. She is an exemplary leader who has been largely responsible for the growth and professionalism of Nevada Child Seekers.

In 1985 Nevada Child Seekers was about to close its doors; now, it is responsible for providing services to more than 13,000 children each year. When Lee Haney got involved with Nevada Child Seekers, she provided amazing leadership. As the mother of two girls, her heart was immediately captured by the cause. She recruited board members as well as providing structure and organization to the fundraising efforts. Lee Haney continues to solicit about 80% of the sponsorships for the annual fundraising dinner, golf tournament, and annual run. She is known to challenge friends, peers, fellow board members, and family members to match and/or exceed her own financial contributions. Because of Lee Haney’s leadership, Nevada Child Seekers has been getting requests from other community leaders interested in serving on an active board where they can use their time, treasure and talent to help protect children.
