Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, Nominated by Marty Hennessey Junior Tennis Foundation

Ellie Smith is an outstanding 12-year-old who has done a huge amount of volunteer work for many nonprofit organizations in the Valley. She shares her amazing singing and dancing talent for the benefit of many special events and galas. Ellie has volunteered her enormous talent for the benefit of the Marty Hennessey Junior Tennis Foundation which supports Inner City needs and especially troubled young people. She has recently also volunteered with Children’s Miracle Network, St. Rose Dominican Hospitals’ Mardi Gras Gala, Opportunity Village, Chefs for Kids, Nevada Child Seekers, Three Square, Family Promise, and many others.

In addition to Ellie’s great volunteer contributions to our community, she is a full-time student as well as handling a demanding professional performing schedule. She has sung the national anthem, “God Bless America,” before crowds of thousands at major sporting events. This summer she performed as Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. She also performed as Annie in the production of Annie at the Tuacahn Amphitheater in St. George. And she finds time to do it all with a beautiful smile for each person she meets.
