What is Mission Pitch?
AFP Las Vegas’ MISSION PITCH 4.0: May Madness event is a platform for 12 nonprofit organizations to showcase their mission & impact in an effort to receive funding to support their programs and organizational service goals. This is also an opportunity to meet local funders, so spectators are encouraged to attend as well.
This year we are adding the next level of competition in the spirit of the March Madness sports event. There will be 3 groups of different sized non-profit organizations. Each group will present within their prospective group and the top winner for each group will do an elevator pitch-off to win first, second, and third place. We are also bringing back the People’s Choice Award which will be open to all participants…So your vote counts!
The goal of MISSION PITCH is to empower and support nonprofits in Southern Nevada that make a positive impact in the community they serve. By bringing together individuals, philanthropists and professionals in our community, the event will spark creativity and collaboration to turn vision into reality.
Full participation in Mission Pitch is applicable for 3.25 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
