Nevada SPCA – Development Coordinator

Nevada SPCA, Southern Nevada’s original no-kill animal shelter, is looking for a Development Coordinator to assist the Executive Director and to collaborate with the team in fundraising, donor stewardship, community outreach and event planning and execution. You will play a big role in ensuring that homeless pets find loving new homes and that Nevada SPCA supporters are happy with the organization’s work for which their money makes possible. You will assist the advancement of the organization’s impact through actively seeking business partners and new supporters.

You must be a passionate animal lover, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent people and leadership skills, a professional business demeanor, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams. You will report directly to the Executive Director. Experience with data management (MS Excel or similar) and previous CRM management highly desired.

Salary starts at $42,000. Bachelor’s degree and fundraising or sales experience preferred.

Duties will include
  • Collaboration with the Executive Director and Communications Manager to implement fundraising strategies and initiatives
  • Assist in grant writing and research for funding opportunities
  • Coordinate and maintain timely donor activities within the Customer Relationship Management Neon database, provide statistical reports on stewardship activities and edit and proofs data needed
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of records of donor acknowledgement correspondence, donation forms, invitations and other communications for donors and prospects
  • Partner with the Communications Manager on the development of collateral donor materials and donor-focused communications and other stewardship activities
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director to implement ongoing relationship cultivation and year-round stewardship engagement plans with assigned donor segments for the purpose of donor retention and inspiring upgraded donor support
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of donors for the purpose of retention and upgrading philanthropy, donor segments including silent auction donors, membership trip donors, in-kind event vendors and other membership prospects would be included
  • Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns
  • Assist in creating and distributing newsletters using Neon
  • Provide administrative support and collateral for development activities including use of Canva software
