Do you view nonprofit branding as a suite of visual assets? As an aid for fundraising initiatives?

Branding is more than just a logo and pretty colors, and it can achieve more than just donations. The visual and written messages we put into the world can have a psychological and cultural impact. Discover an approach to branding and communication that elevates your nonprofit while uplifting the humans you serve.

This workshop addresses the psychology of human-centered communications and how it influences public perception and motivates thoughtful action.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand branding as a tool for strengthening cohesion and credibility – both internally and externally.
  1. Learn the principles of good copywriting and graphic design, and how to ethically influence perception and inspire action.
  1. Gain insights for simplifying complex topics to improve accessibility, engagement, and effectiveness.

About the Speaker

Lisa NelsonLisa Nelsen is a communications and branding strategist for organizations that serve the public good. After graduating from UNLV with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications, she

worked for local advertising agencies like R&R Partners and MassMedia before joining the

nonprofit sector and ultimately launching her business, Coruzzi Communications. During her

time in the nonprofit sector, Lisa helped secure $25 million in federal funding to support public education initiatives in Nevada’s high poverty neighborhoods.

Lisa’s work crafting accessible messaging and parting it with dignified visuals serves to clarify complex topics, positively influence public perception, and encourage action that will fundamentally address problems (not just their symptoms).
