Cecilia N. Reyes, MBA, ACFRE, CSPG is currently CEO of DATAIQ, LLC, a small IT consulting company specializing in data science analytics.  She received her graduate degree in Business Administration (M.B.A) from Chapman University in Orange, California, where she also began her fund development career in higher education after a stint with a community nonprofit organization.  With 20 years of advancing philanthropy, Cecilia has helped raise over $80 million in annual, major, and planned giving.  She has extensive experience in development, strategic planning, and board management in higher education and philanthropic settings.  She is also an authentic Zen teacher who practiced with American, German, and Japanese Zen masters in the U.S., Germany, and Japan for over 17 years.  Recognizing the value of advancing philanthropy in our global society, Cecilia fosters a high level of professionalism and integrity as the culture of philanthropy and volunteer leadership continue to grow around the world.

This month we are also pleased to have representatives from Nevada Women's Philanthropy join us to share information about their upcoming grant process and symposium on Thursday, October 12. NWP is an all volunteer member driven, pooled fund, large impact grant making organization established to address the needs of the greater Las Vegas community. Their membership consists of around 80 philanthropically motivated women, united by a powerful desire to address emerging issues facing our community in the areas of arts, education, environment, social services, and health. Since 2005, NWP has granted $4.15 million to Las Vegas-area nonprofits with $405,000 being awarded to U.S. Vets last year.
